Sectors and resources
All business sectors will be required to develop new business models and more circular products in the coming years. A resource-based approach (e.g. energy, water, metals, plastic) can be used to identify cross-sectoral solutions.
Based on a review of the international literature, a Quebec study on the economic impact of the circular economy has highlighted the sectors that would be most likely to benefit quickly from a transition:
